Baltimore Ravens Football
The Ravens, Baltimore's NFL football team, are in the North Division of the AFC. Bringing pro football back to Baltimore in 1996, after a 13-year void, the excitement of the Baltimore Ravens has invigorated the city and captivated football fans in Baltimore and the surrounding region.
Sporting purple, black, gold and white, the Ravens' name was selected from the results of a Baltimore Sun poll. Chosen to honor the famous poet, it's believed that Edgar Allan Poe wrote his famous poem, "The Raven," while living in Baltimore in the 1830s. The Baltimore Ravens Mascot's are Edgar, Allan and Poe!
Baltimore Orioles Baseball
The Orioles, more affectionately known as the Birds or the O's to the city's serious fans, is Baltimore's Major League Baseball team. They play in the Eastern Division of the American League.
The Baltimore Orioles play ball in Oriole Park at Camden Yards, a natural grass ball park finished in 1992 and named for the original Oriole Park that was lost to fire back in the 1940s.
The Baltimore Blast
The fastest game on two feet is played in Baltimore's 1st Mariner Arena by the 2008 MILS Champion Baltimore Blast. The Baltimore Blast joined the MILS in 2001 and have since won four MILS championships in 2003, 2004, 2006 and again in 2008.
